Why is it worth to join the ZNP when working at the Nencki Institute?
-
The trade union's primary role is to defend workers' rights at the workplace.
-
A trade union has a statutory guarantee of influence on work and remuneration regulations.
-
ZNP is currently the only trade union operating at the Nencki Institute.
-
Most of the ZNP membership fee remains in the workplace, which can be used for trade union activities, which may include, among others, educational, cultural, tourist, sightseeing, and sporting activities.
-
ZNP has its own base of recreation and sanatorium facilities that offer discounts for ZNP members.
-
The existence of the Institute trade union organization supports the ZNP's activities in the national/educational arena.
Who can join a trade union?
Every worker, regardless of employment form and salary, can join a trade union. In particular, a trade union can be joined by workers employed on the basis of an employment contract, on the basis of a mandate contract, a specific task contract, and by Ph.D. students receiving a scholarship. (Act of 5 July 2018 amending the act on trade unions and some other acts, published in the Journal of Laws Pos. 1608).
